Capacities of the port

h Capacities of storage:

      The wearing of Algiers has a total surface of storage of 282.000 m², accounting for 24% of the total surface uniformly distributed between the 3 geographical areas of the port and accomodating various goods:

1. full Ground of with 232.000 m²

2. 12 stores of 50.000 m²

h Terminal of Containers:

    The terminal of Containers extends on a surface of 17 hectares.

h Access doors:
    
    There is new (09) access doors to the wearing of Algiers port.
h Handling and lifting gear:
        Park of 400 machines (electric Cranes on rails, motorized cranes, lifting trucks, RoRo tractors, trailers slaves, trucks trailers, pumps' grains... etc).
h Contribute to sea transport:

1. Six (06) tug boats:

three were acquired in the years 1970;

one (01) was acquired in 1982;

two (02) were acquired in 2003.

2. A radar Vessel Traffic System (VTS): system for the regulation and the monitoring of the movements of navigation in the basins and the roads of the wearing of Algiers ;

3. Barge of fuelling of the water ships, a capacity of 400 tons;

4. A barge of maintenance and fight against pollution.

5. 03 pilotines, 01 high-speed motorboat and 05 boats of mooring.
